Many people in the church today, do not know God’s will for their lives. They have been taught by those in the church that maybe God will do this or maybe He won’t when they pray, but this is totally against the Word. This is religious teaching, plain and simple. It’s man’s doctrine. Don’t be deceived! Read the Word for yourself, so you will know the will of God. Pardon my play on words.
The Bible is divided into two parts…the Old and the New Testaments. Testament means “will”. If we read the Bible, or God’s old and new will, we will have no doubts as to the will of God.
Believer’s today want to know the will of God for their lives, but they are depending on someone else to pray the will of God over them, prophesy over them, dream a dream, or see Jesus himself standing at the end of their bed telling them Himself His will for their lives, but the fact is Jesus has already told us in the pages of His Holy Word.
You can know the will of God for your life by simply reading the Bible. It is His Word and His plan (will) for you is clearly laid out in the scripture. You don’t have to guess, you don’t have to rely on someone else to tell you, and you don’t have to wait, or wonder, you can know!
Believer’s in the church are wasting precious time wondering and wandering from preacher to prophet, from church to church, from one meeting or workshop to another, trying to find the will of God, when it’s actually lying on the table…in the pages of their own Bible.
God has a great plan for you life. He says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 KJV His will is hidden for you, not from you in the Bible. It’s up to you to search it out. The Bible is a spiritual gold mine. Get in the Word and dig out the gold. You will be richer. As you read, you will begin to grow and “know”. Every area of your life will begin to prosper. You will be successful. You will have favor.
Just as you eat good food and your body becomes healthier, you “eat” the Word and your spiritual soul will become healthier. King David said in Psalm 34:8 KJV, “Taste and see that the Lord is good…” You won’t have to strive, you will thrive!
